as a cutting-edge platform for young pioneer designers to incubate, labelhood aims to bring together today's pionner fashion design and fresh creative forces, the perfect interpretation of z-generation lifestyle attitude. lane crawford will join hands with labelhood to launch a series of interesting lifestyle products on the traditional spring festival to celebrate the year of the dog.
cny(chinese new year is not only a traditional festival in china now, it’s going global. the interesting thing is part of the world still have stereotype things are representing chinese culture, such as chinese take out box.
in some sense, chinese take out box is a bridge to connect chinese food& culture (maybe not authentic) to other culture, and connect chinese who live overseas to the motherland instantly.
therefore i designed “chinese take out box” as medium as shopping packaging to interpret the cny culture from different aspect.
also, i use traditional cny elements to blend with trending culture for a twist. such as i designed 3 chinese immortals(fortune, wealth, health)wearing gold chains with their name on and doing dab move, the dog graphic on the shot glass is slightly drunk. the traditional lunar calendar graphic of cny with dog graphic and gogogo at back ground, it also says stay with your family and don't drunk and drive.
