Cogito Ergo Sum

  • Cogito Ergo Sum
René Descartes, the French thinker, came up with one of the most famous philosophical claims in history: “Cogito ergo sum,” or “I think, therefore I am.” In a thought experiment, he eliminated all beliefs that he could not prove 100% true—in the end he was left with only one truth, that because he is thinking it necessitates that he must exist.

Ever since then, this simple, but powerful, revelation has blown the minds of countless students of philosophy, including myself. Under this premise, we put together a selection of quotes that urge the reader to question.
