Small Town In Guangzhou depicts a scenery of Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. This is a street that is known for food in my hometown, Guangzhou, China. In this panorama drawing, I focused on the interpreting the everyday life of local residents’ living amongst the interesting veranda architectures that surround that area. In addition, many well known family style restaurants are referenced that reflects the very things I long for from home. To me, it does not matter how accustomed nor how long I have resided in America because I still miss my country and get homesick often because of it. I miss the noise, the crowd, the traditional taste of food, and the love from the neighbors. New York may be a mixture of so much variety but I have not yet adapted myself to the environment.
