Priceline iPhone v1 (2012)
Priceline.com is one of the dot-com era's success stories. Started in 1998, Priceline gave people the ability to negotiate the price of their hotels and airfare online. A few years ago, they brought their experience to mobile devices. With over 3.4 million iPhone and 1.7 million Android app downloads, they're a force in the mobile travel space.
This project is a complete redesign of their mobile presence, which includes iPhone, Android, and the mobile website. Within a week of its release, it was featured in the App Store. A week later and it climbed to #4 in the Travel App section and was featured a second time. As the Senior UX/UI designer, I was responsible for everything from the wireframes to the final design comps—but as with everything digital, nothing is ever final. The app is in a constant state of motion as we test and discover user's needs and attempt to keep up with the every changing and exciting world of mobile and travel.

Name Your Own Price
Name Your Own Price is Priceline's flagship product. It's what put them on the map and it is still a very profitable part of their offering. In the original release of the app, this section consisted of a list of the most recent winning bids. It was confusing to any first time users and even to some with more experience. In an attempt to simplify the process and appeal to new users, Name Your Own Price was redesigned into three easy steps. After the change was implemented conversion went up 10%.
