Circus Animals

  • Circus Animals - is an exploration inspired by Kafka's "A Report to an Academy" of what we consider humane and how, if at all, this concept have changed through the century. This body of work was created to highlight inhumane treatment of circus animals in our time. Through juxtaposing an abandoned practice of circus "freaks" from the turn of the century with the existing cruel practices of animal training, i wanted to show how duplicitous our society is and how much more effort has to be made towards humanity.
