This astrological map is a brief view of my personal natal chart created as a visual map of a conceptual space revolved around my astrological signs.
The map is navigated through the folds and reads as a fortune teller when folded with a detachable key at the bottom.
The four illustrations shown are the four cardinal points of my astrological chart which includes the:
Ascendant (1st house), Midheaven (10th house), Descendant (7th house), and the Imum Coeli (4th house).
The Ascendant arguably serves as one of the most defining moments in astrology due to its specificity to a particular time and place.
The Ascendant represents the exact moment the sun crosses the horizon in the East, forming a boundary of what can and cannot be seen.
Due to Earth’s natural rotation, it appears as if everything that can be seen becomes visible from the horizon line.
Astrologers believe this signifies a person’s awakening consciousness. In the same vein, the horizon formed in the
West is called the Descendant where the ecliptic meets the western horizon and is on a point opposite to the Ascendant.
