Dreamy space and time

  • dreamy space and time, 2015, 43" x 48", Oil, Acrylic, Oil pastel, Paper Collage on Cardboard.

I like the magical moment when ordinary and mundane world turns into a dreamy space and time.
The theme of the work relates to my shyness of people who are directing me into an action I wish not to take. Such as using authority in order for me to complete a task and in order to avoid the directions of people I transform into a cactus. A cactus has spines and seems dangerous, people want to avoid them and I feel they are very independent. I use very chromatic colors for my palate and simple line work for my form, I feel blending the two creates a very dreamlike appearance.
