The scene in this work is an illusion of a woman having dinner in a restaurant. This illusion is of a nervous situation. The girl is staring at the viewer in order to display her confidence, but this is just an act. The girl is actually lacking confidence and wants to trick the viewer into thinking she is very confident. The image of the girl to the left of the primary figure is the actually confidence less face of the girl. The dog, cactus, and snake are the protectors of the girl from her nervousness and help to give her confidence. This is all and illusion fabricated by her in order to fit into society.
