    HOW TO DEVELOP A HEALTHCARE SERVICE FOR LOW-INCOME IMMIGRANT WOMEN IN THE U.S.
     
    Hard-working women in low-income immigrant communities confront significant challenges in their efforts to integrate into American society.  Health is a core contributor to their integration process, driving their economic productivity, wellbeing and family development. Yet millions of women are excluded from health insurance, limiting their access to health resources.

  • Addressing this need requires a new approach to health. Grameen PrimaCare envisions a world where access to high quality, affordable and comprehensive healthcare is a reality for all people.
     
    Recognizing the complex health needs that exist in immigrant communities, Grameen PrimaCare is opening a healthcare and wellness center in Jackson Heights, Queens.
     
    The opportunity to be involved in the incubation process of developing a for-profit healthcare service for unprivileged groups has been a remarkable experience for me as strategist designer.
     
    I deeply thank you all the team at Grameen PrimaCare and recognize their hard work, good will and warm heart. I learned so much from all of them.
