Dave is an award winning creative professional and proponent of design thinking at all levels. Consultant, Freelancer, Business Owner, In-House Team Leader, ‘outsourcerer’ extraordinaire, his cross-media industry expertise spans more than 20 years.
For 10 years Dave served as Senior Art Director for the web site at L.L.Bean, Inc. There, he was instrumental in advancing best practices in web site design along with multichannel planning to align visual communications across web, retail, catalog and advertising.
Dave is currently a Senior Solutions Consultant with Adobe Systems, helping organizations embrace and evolve best practices of cross media design, visual communications and organizational workflow. He has taught courses in Graphic Communications and Cross-Media Publishing at University of Southern Maine and Maine College of Art.
A founding board member and former President of AIGA Maine, Dave is committed to AIGA’s mission — to advance designing as a strategic tool, professional craft and vital cultural force.
Dave is the creator of cellphoneSketchpad – mobile journal. cyber comic. digital rorschach. An avid sketchbook artist since childhood, the cellphone camera is a digital expansion to the traditional pen & ink toolset, for capturing ideas quickly in real-time – a digital pen on a virtual cocktail napkin. Dave is a featured Vox Photographer, with his cellphoneSketches featured in galleries, editorial and on merchandize.
An accomplished Illustrator, Dave continues to explore a broad range of creative forms, both visual and performance-based. Over the years, designer, writer, creative director, stand-up comic, improvisational actor, cartoonist, wild blueberry banana pancake maker.
Dave is a proud and adoring dad who also enjoys a really good nap!
